Gil Grissom, who is played by William Petersen, was born on August 17th, 1956 in Santa Monica, California. He stands 5'10" in height and weighs 169 lbs. He has blue eyes and sandy-brown/grey hair. He holds a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of California and is one of the only 15 forensic entomologists in the country. He attends, as well as teaches, various forensic lectures. Grissom holds the position of Supervisor at the Las Vegas Criminalist's Bureau during the night shift, where Catherine Willows is his second-in-command and Nick, Warrick and Sara report directly to him. His job is his life, and he enjoys it greatly because of the scientific puzzle-solving aspect of the work. However, he dislikes the politics and paperwork involved. He prefers to physically see the results of tests, rather than rely on a computer simulation. Grissom is able to communicate using sign language, which he learned from his mother who is deaf.
Catherine Willows, who is played by Marg Helgenberger, is second-in-command, after Gil Grissom, during the night shift at the Las Vegas Criminalist's Bureau. She was born on March 26th, 1963 in Bozeman, Montana and is 5'6" in height and weighs 104 lbs. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. Willows has a B.S. in Medical Technology from the University of Las Vegas and is currenly a CSI Level 3. She adds her motherly instincts and fiery passion to the cases like no other, especially those dealing with children. This is most likely due to the fact that she has a young daughter. She had previously worked as an exotic dancer.
Warrick Brown, who is played by Gary Dourdan, was born on October 10th, 1971 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He stands 6'2" in height and weights in at 190 lbs. He has green eyes and brown hair. Brown has a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Las Vegas and is currently a CSI Level 3. He has worked as a CSI since 1995 and his forensic specialty is audio-visual analysis. He nearly lost his job when his addiction, gambling, lead to the death of Holly Gribbs. Since this time he has remained clean, but the battle of temptation is always present.
Nick Stokes, who is played by George Eads, was born on August 18th, 1971 in Dallas, Texas. He has a height of 5'10" and weighs 155 pounds. His hair and eyes are both brown. Stokes holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Texas A&M and is currently a CSI Level 3. With his charm, killer smile and good looks, it is no suprise to learn that he is very much a ladies man, but has admitted that he would go dutch on a date if the woman asked him what kind of car he drives. He is a sensitive man, who is not afraid to cry when the time calls for it, especially in times when he has a gun pointed in his face and a woman threatening to kill him. Stokes loves videogames and knows his way around the internet.
Sara Sidle, who is played by Jorga Fox, was born on September 16th, 1971 in Tamales Bay, California. She stands 5'8" in height and weighs 107 lbs. Both her eyes and hair are brown. Sidle has a B.S. in Physics from Harvard and is currently a CSI Level 2. Her specialty includes materials and element analysis, plus balistics. She prefers dead body cases, especially those with only bones and loves working with Grissom's Red Creeper fingerprint powder. She is strong willed and highly emotional, sometimes letting her emotions alter her perception of a case. She becomes especially emotional over cases dealing with violence perpetuated against women.
Captain Jim Brass, who is played by Paul Guilfoyle, was born on January 3rd, 1951 in Newark, New Jersey. He has a height of 5'9" and weighs 163 lbs. He has brown hair and blue eyes. He has a B.A. in History from Seton Hall University and is currently a homicide detective in the Los Angeles Police Department. He had been the head of CSI, but after Holly Gribbs incident, he was sent back to work in homicide. This position is best for the man because he prefers to work with live bodies, rather than dead and he really dislikes touching corpses. He tries to mostly follow police protocol.
Greg Sanders, who is played by Eric Szmanda, has both brown eyes and hair, the latter of which he like to keep semi messy with the aid of gel. Sander's is the CSI's lab technician and though he is able to analyze just about anything, he should demonstrate a little more caution with the evidence. He can be a bit quirky at times, all the while being upbeat and extroverted. He loves women, though he never seems to have a steady girlfriend. He typically wears very colorfully patterned shirts under his lab coat, which rarely comes off.
