Vincent D'Onofrio, who plays Detective Robert Goren, was born Vincent Phillip D'Onofrio on June 30th, 1959 in Brooklyn, New York. He grew up in Hawaii, Colorado and Florida, but eventually returned to New York to study acting at the American Stanislavsky Theatre. During this time, he worked as a bouncer at dance clubs in the city. Later he would go on to act in a guest star capacity for several television programs, including: The Equalizer, Miami Vice, Homicide: Life on the Street and Men in Black. He has appeared in numerous films, some of which are, Bark, The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys, Chelsea Walls, The Cell, Steal This Movie, The Newton Boys, Men In Black, Mystic Pizza and Full Metal Jacket among others. Kathryn Erbe, who plays Detective Alexandra "Alex" Eames, was born on July 2nd, 1966 in Boston, Massachusetts. She was raised in Newton, Massachusetts and later moved to New York where she graduated from the New York University drama program with a bachelor of arts degree. She is currently married to actor Terry Kinney and the two have one daughter, Mave. Erbe has starred in such shows as, Chicken Soup and Oz and has appeared as a guest star in the series': Hallmark Hall Of Fame and Homicide: Life on the Street. He only pursued acting after a knee injury left him unable to dance. Since then, he has starred in the television programs, Shannon's Deal and Chicago Hope as well as guest starred in the series', Hallmark Hall Of Fame, St. Elsewhere, Spenser: For Hire, Picket Fences and Now and Again. Sheridan has acted in a number of movies, including: Desert Saints, Life as a House, The Lost Child, Cradle Will Rock, Wild America and Hamlet among others. He is currently married and has two children.
